My journey began when I wanted to find a calendar that reflected who I was and what was important to me. What I saw were calendars that were marketed toward men, teenagers, nothing that reflected who I was and how I saw myself or my friends and family.  

The calendars of women of color that I did find were always in some type of ceremonial dress or costumes.   I am not saying that   there is no place for these types of calendars I have purchased some in my life.

This is about celebrating our beauty, the beauty we share with our families, friends neighbors, and coworkers help me celebrate them.
